    I wanted to try something like that, but you only get dismissed for that case; you still have to report back until your term expires (all under the same judge who will recognize you lol). Which meant, to avoid a perjury charge (you’re sworn in by this point in the process), I would have had to wear the equivalent of a Leia costume 1-2 times a week for a little over a month and really sell it on the performance. I don’t think I could keep it up that long.

        They make you remove your hats before you go into the actual courtroom. Courts have a lot of crazy “because we’ve always done it that way” rituals. And if you don’t follow the ritual to the T, you’re “disrespecting the court”. I’m surprised judges still don’t wear the big wigs.

            That…might actually work? I mean, you’re not sworn in (read: under oath) until after you’re in the court room.
