When he figures out he doesn’t actually have the best people and we’ve been benefitting from our international relationships more than we’ve been contributing on actual physical products he will learn a basic electronics principal I learned long ago: once you let out the magic smoke that makes the thing go, it’s damn near impossible to get it back in there

Well good thing it’s spring now right? Farmers markets are starting up. Look into local CSA’s.

Buy local was always the goal for food sovereignty activists. Eating seasonally is less burdensome with the greenhouses we’re building, but the whole world needs to adopt buy local goals anyway.

Really? I’m in B.C., and I haven’t seen that yet. But I haven’t bought sweet potatoes for a long time as I can only find Product of USA.

Am American: Honestly, I wholeheartedly applaud the unity so many people in so many countries are showing in the face of this unceasing cavalcade of abject idiocy and pointed maliciousness from our government. I’m fucking heartbroken it’s happening, but I’m glad you guys are mostly sticking together and taking a hard line, because it is absolutely the right call, and moreover, has the greatest chance of positive outcome for far more people across the world.

American here: it’s ok; you guys should just make a new trade union with blackjack and hookers, and orangeboi will do his freedom fries trade war idiocy, censorship, anti-intellectualism, and fascism thing, which will drive all the smart and empathetic people out.

I low key expect them to stop allowing citizens to leave the country without an exit visa (Back in the USSR starts playing in the background) at some point.

“If the European Union works with Canada in order to do economic harm to the USA, large scale Tariffs, far larger than currently planned, will be placed on them both in order to protect the best friend that each of those two countries has ever had!” Mr. Trump wrote.

First, with friends like that, who needs enemies, and second, Europe is not a country.

Do it, you fucking cowards. Every ridiculous clown policy like this helps other countries to justify grinding their own fascists out of existence. It’s been a godsend, keep it coming.

So far, I know of no European countries that have taken active measures against their local fascists.

And some bottle blonde right wing bitch got banned recently in another country. I thought it was Estonia but I can’t find it. There’s been discussion of the same in Germany regarding AfD.

But I was getting more at how hard you saw the swing in Canada when Trump started to spout off about tariffs, and nobody trusts that Polievre isn’t just going to roll over if he’s let into power. Hell, he might not even get elected in his own riding is the word now. They’re being absolutely punished in retaliation against what people see happening in the US when you bring fascists into power.

This is why the media should be associating tariffs with bailouts. The only US industries left after this will only be those that get bailouts.
