        I am outraged as well, but arguably this is competition, and how many corpos with deep pockets can legitimately fight Google/Amazon without going broke. This feels like loss but with a really strong silver lining.

      It’s only logical. They already show ads. When they run their own ad tech stack, they cut out the middle man and earn all the money themselves.

      Sure it takes a bit of work to get customers and such, but when you’re a company of that size with that many customers, it shouldn’t be that hard.

      Even at a lower level, i use to see “update” and think oo what feature or functionality has come out?

      Now its like “fuck im forced to update, what feature are they removing or putting behind a paywall now”

      you’re right, everything sucks now. literally everything is about stuffing ads in your face and spying on you. on top of taking your money of course.
