How does this keep happening? Taking public transport shouldn’t be anywhere near as dangerous as it currently is, this is getting ridiculous.

So it seems there has been a big short term increase in youth crime, 25% up on a year ago, but the same article says youth crime has more than halved over the past decade.
So it’s probably in the news more recently because of an uptick.
I agree with you, and I think it’s interesting to look at why there is a short term uptick in youth crime.
