Demigodrick@lemmy.zipto Fediverse memes@feddit.uk•Too all the .ee users going down with the ship 🫡English0·1 day agoI do give a fuck.
I give a fuck about creating a welcoming safe space on this instance.
I give a fuck that we act with integrity and fairness.
I don’t give a fuck that it hurts your feelings to be called out, nor do I have time to respond to emails that are just more justifications of your transphobia.
We issued a temp ban as a warning. Instead you harass my admin team and bad mouth admins from other instances, while continuing to try and justify yourself.
I suggest you find another instance that will accept your behaviour, because its not welcome here.

Demigodrick@lemmy.zipto Fediverse memes@feddit.uk•Too all the .ee users going down with the ship 🫡English0·2 days agoHey! Can you double check its not in your spam folder?
If there’s nothing, then please send an email over to [email protected], include your username, and we can have a look for you!

Demigodrick@lemmy.zipto Harry Potter@literature.cafe•[Meta] Proposal: Maximum user choiceEnglish1·6 days agoWe’ve had an chat internally and decided that we’d be happy with a community that separates HP from JKR as long as it was properly moderated in line with its purpose.
The suggestion allows for a community on another instance where JKR could be discussed in relation to HP. The merits of such a community are obvious, however we don’t agree that the subject matters can’t be discussed separately, if there was a demand for that community to exist.
So, we would be happy with a community to specifically discuss HP, if such a community was to be opened.
Demigodrick@lemmy.zipto Star Trek@lemmy.zip•What Star Trek media did you watch in the last week? - 06/18/25English0·9 days agoHave finished LD (miss it already!) and started SNW - up to ep5 so far and enjoying it :)
Do you still see this behavior btw?
Hey, could you try a couple of things just to make sure its not a browser issue? If you could clear your site data for old.lemmy.zip and then log back in, do you have the same problem?
Demigodrick@lemmy.zipMto Home@lemmy.zip•Lemmy.zip proxied images not embedding properly in AlexandriteEnglish0·10 days agoHey! I’ve logged it here: https://github.com/sheodox/alexandrite/issues/123
Lemm.ee doesn’t use the proxy so we need the alexandrite devs help to figure this out. Just waiting for them to respond.
Demigodrick@lemmy.zipOPMto Announcements@lemmy.zip•Announcing: Piefed.zip - our new Piefed instance!English0·13 days agoHey, so better is more of an objective term - piefed offers a more comprehensive moderation experience for admins and mods, and addresses some of the issues that users raise around multiple communities and account settings etc.
Piefed runs on activitypub just like lemmy does, so are compatible with eachother - you probably already see piefed users and communities in your lemmy feed.
I wouldn’t say there is an argument either way from a user perspective- I’d encourage people to try both and see what they like.
There are no front ends yet that work with piefed (like tesseract or photon) but they’re being worked on. There’s also only a few apps, but similarly these are being worked on too, so before long you can probably interact with either software through an app.
Lemmy was the first and so is the most popular, and I hope the devs are able to bring some of the moderation features over to lemmy too, as it is quite a limited experience in comparison to many fediverse softwares.
Hope that helps, but tldr try both and see which one you like, they can interact with eachother anyway, I.e. https://piefed.zip/c/home can be interacted with via https://lemmy.zip/c/[email protected]
❤️ two years already 😱
Demigodrick@lemmy.zipto Meta (lemm.ee)@lemm.ee•Lemmy.zip staff welcomes lemm.ee users, with between 150 and 200 registrations in 24 hours0·21 days agoConstantly tired and constantly being screamed at, but its all good thank you 🤣
Demigodrick@lemmy.zipto[Closed, visit [email protected]] Age of Mythology@lemm.ee•Shuttering this communityEnglish0·21 days agoHey yeah just for clarity the only thing we block is UK users from accessing the UIs.
Federation, apis etc still function as normal and instances in the UK and users in the UK using other instances can interact with lemmy.zip with no issues 😊
Edit: we of course would love any gaming communities on Lemmy.zip, but I’m also a big proponent of spreading the load. Hope you find a new home soon!
Demigodrick@lemmy.zipto Meta (lemm.ee)@lemm.ee•Lemmy.zip staff welcomes lemm.ee users, with between 150 and 200 registrations in 24 hours0·21 days agoYeah spot on, it’s complicated by me being a UK resident and also the owner, and so the only way to protect the site without introducing age verification and AI monitoring (which are dystopian measures, not to mention incredibly expensive) without changing aspects of the site, is to just not provide a service to the UK users.
If I wasn’t in the UK, I’d just ignore this act like every other admin and service does.
Just pinning this - we are getting a little battered by people importing their data from lemm.ee.
If you get a timeout or a rate limit error, please try using a VPN to upload it 😊
If this doesn’t work, feel free to shoot us a PM or let us know!
Demigodrick@lemmy.zipto Random Acts Of Gaming | Giveaway@lemm.ee•Which instance should we move? Now Lemm.ee have shutdown0·22 days agoHey, just wanted to clear up that it’s only users from the UK who can’t access lemmy.zip directly. They can access the lemmy.zip communities via federation just fine from other instances :)
Welcome along!
