I see that not everybody uses their actual names in their profiles as they’re testing out the waters in this new territory. The platform will take some relearning from Facebook to get used to.
It is notable that Friendica does support the ability to have multiple profiles on each account.
But the one thing that is funny to me is that anonymous users from Lemmy are able to communicate with Friendica users with real names. Imagine a well known expert on physics arguing with some armchair random from Lemmy hehe.
I personally don’t have an issue with it. I put my real name as my display name because I want people to be able to find me. I trust it more than I would trust facebook with my personal info.
