I think it fixes the size of line spaces.
The other option (my preferred option) is to have every line end with two spaces instead of no spaces, but a blank line between paragraphs. The difference is:

I went ball-gloves-jackets and guessed that either “blocks” or “foils” could be some jargon I wasn’t familiar with. I originally saw “stops” as in “short stop”, but I needed that for green.
