A humpback whale briefly swallowed a kayaker off Chilean Patagonia before quickly releasing him unharmed. The incident was caught on video.

        Probably an accident. It can’t even physically swallow something of human size.

        I wonder about stories like these. Whales are easily intelligent enough to play. Maybe he was just fucking with the guy? He certainly didn’t see the kayak and rider as food.

      It all happened so fast he probably wasn’t scared, thought a wave temporarily swamped him. If you’re kayaking in water like that, you got some balls. Later, however.

    Gives me shivers just thinking about it.

    And that’s just the “kayaking in the Strait of Magellan” part, let alone getting eaten by a whale!
