I remember when these guys were just a random house in a neighborhood where they had signs or painted walls that depicted their current conspiracies - usually teamed with various dead appliances and vehicles on the property. Now these people are winning elections.

This isn’t satire. This is someone I know. And they’re batshit crazy. Constantly posting stuff like this. They also have massive “I’m the smartest person in the room” energy.

Religion is really good at capturing those with mental illnesses and especially those without insight.

        It’s numerology.

Which is like… astrology with numbers.

And you might not be surprised it’s wormed its way in some of the way-more-crazy parts of Christianity.

Also? A solid argument for why you shouldn’t mix crazy and meth.

Yeah I know what numerology is… Had a “luck” to encounter and debunk a certain pseudoscientist who tried to connect gematria and stuff with the origin of the alphabet or sth.

Also yeah I’m not surprised, the Bible is famously vague and self-contradictory, leading to thousands of interpretations of it. I only hope this guy is not doing some sort of preaching to attract similarly crazy ppl

If you make random insane meaningless connections to things that don’t exist and call them your reality and believe in them absolutely … you are called insane.

If you make random insane meaningless connections to things that don’t exist from a Christian Bible (or any other religious texts) and call them your reality and believe in them absolutely … you are called religious.

But like…why position 2120 and position 32? They go through this whole “code,” but they leave out pieces of information that should be relevant.

Sorry for your friend. I have heard other people who are into gematria speak, and it’s just pitiable what Christianity has done to their brains. And it’s a shame, because they’re obviously great at recognizing patterns, but they’re wasting their talents on meaningless “codes” that very definitely don’t do anything in the way of proof.

It’s a tragedy that folks like this who need mental help will never get it, making connections between random things is something I’ve seen a lot in the heaviest drug users, my family included.

The brain is a wonderful, fragile, little machine
