I always thought a next gen action anime would be cool to be see made modeled in 3D and, while the initial presentation would be from the expected angles, later release would be in an free camera mode where you could watch it all from wherever you’d like. Community projects could “recut” it all with a new set of camera points, or even give a continuous observer POV. On top of that, they could drop you in with VR and/or take a character’s POV.
