I was in Lidl earlier and these were on offer. Two things:
- They aren’t fluffy light things like waffles. They’re edible bricks.
- There’s a horrifying amount of calories that almost gave me diabetes just looking at them. Caramel and butter? Why even bother? Why not just drink a jug of sugar-lard?
How do Swamp Jerry’s eat these things? Do you eat half of one at a time dipped in tea? Like a Hob Nob.
Put it over your tea cup (should be coffee your swamp water drinking heathen) while it’s steeping, let the steam warm it up, consume gooey diabetes. Never trash the stroop again. Go to Amsterdam and take a stroop making class. Live a happy life shortened by diabetes
Oh I absolutely fricking love these! Either with caramel or honey inside.
I love these things. Especially when u get them at the market, there BIG and freshly made and warm hmmmmmmm. But if you prefer some horribly dry biscuit which sucks the moisture out of your body just by opening the pack (tin), them thats your thing. :)
Now I understand those sayings about the Brits and their terrible teeth…
