Nearly half of US states sued the federal government and Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. today in a bid to halt the termination of $11 billion in public health grants. The lawsuit was filed by 23 states and the District of Columbia.
Btw I will have to ask, but there has been alot of cutting this and that but has anyone heard about what they plan on spending all this “recouped” money on or we just know they are lining their pockets and the pockets of their friends?
Tax cut for the rich.
Yeah $4.5T worth of them and all these cuts won’t even come close to that amount.
It’s literally just giving more money to the rich. Nothing’s in it for ordinary people. They have promised as much, but they add a bit of bigotry and people flock to support them.
Without being sarcastic…
I think Project 2025’s goal is less about “cost cutting” and more about reducing bureaucracy & consolidating power… I genuinely don’t think they have real plans for where to spend the money besides some vague goals like lowering income tax or something
And in practice, they are cutting a bunch of important governmental endeavors that have very good ROI (NIH has always bipartisan for a reason), so they are literally wasting everyone’s money, not saving
Lawyers.
How in tf aren’t all of the states suing?
Republican state governments. Trump and Musk hold up the chainsaw, and Republicans walk into it with a smile on their face.
Because some states are run by idiots who think this is all a great idea.
