I’m just surprised that this guy doesn’t seem to have SA charges against him. I don’t think it gets a lot of press outside of Canada but we’ve had so damn many senior military officials turn out to be abusers, or worse. One of the worst was Colonel Russell Williams, an now-former high ranking air force officer. He SA’d almost a hundred women, and murdered two of them.

But that’s just the tip of the horror iceberg. He had a very close friend at university: Paul Bernardo. That Paul Bernardo. And that university had a spike of violence against women during their time there that was never resolved. In the hindsight of Williams’ conviction, there’s been a new theory that the two of them were the guilty parties. Covering for each other’s solo crimes with false alibis, not doing crimes the same night to throw off investigators looking for a solo criminal, that sort of thing.
