Possesive spirit, 5 minutes later: “Let me out! Let me go back to hell!”
Me: “Nope, you pushed in, now you gotta drive.”
Spirit: “Please? At least it’s warm there.”
“jokes on you motherfucker, my AC broke and I live in Florida”
Yeah, make that fucker go to work, then be forced by the (no longer mine) brain to do irrational things, have decision blocks, and with focus on the fritz all the time.
Meantime I’ll be in his dimension making sweet love to his demonic mother, be at peace.
I’d read that book/watch that movie/whatever that whatever. One of those unlikely friends stories where they end up working together and learn some kind of life lesson along the way.
It’s actually a major theme in the book series “The Stormlight Archive” by Brandon Sanderson. A major character Shallan does and deals with this exact thing.
I’m not sure I follow, Shallan isn’t possessed, she dissociates from her negative experiences by switching different personality constructs, that’s not the same as being possessed
I haven’t read the books (yet), so I don’t know how closely it resembles the condition in reality, but crucially, it’s a real thing, it’s not a magical fantasy possesion
I have not (thankfully) experienced the condition in real life, but Sanderson usually does his research on portraying this kind of stuff, so he often hits close.
Semantics of possessions we can argue, but she literally pulls the “You take over, it sucks in here” card repeatedly.
It’s actually a plot point in Dead Mount Death Play.
I too wish I could inhabit a blåjaj.
Right? Like the demon wants to be exorcized because the family of the person possessed is do damned toxic that it’s worse than Hell, but it’s like a vacation for the soul of the person! Maybe the person was playing with a Ouija board with the intent to be possessed. The ol’Bait & Switch!
Cyberpunk 2077?
