    I would kill for a Roman epic at this point. Like, there is so much more we know about the Ceaserean period now than we did in the 80’s. Even if it’s a big schlocky thing, it would at least be something different.

      Any kind of historical or even alt-history epic would be good. When was the last big budget historical epic that wasn’t just History™ with Hollywood™ Movie Trope® Characteristics? When are we ever getting another Laurence of Arabia? Or Ghandi? Or anything like that? Those movies felt real in a way that barely any others do. The movie Laurence of Arabia is practically part of history itself at this point. Can’t imagine an American movie ever doing that. I guess if they did do a historical movie it would be so full of revisionism and lies that it would be unbearable to watch anyways.
