I was talking with a SW fan about various star wars media, and she said andor was boring.

I’m at a complete loss. Sad I can understand, but boring? It’s genuinely great television.

MAYBE the first episode is slow, but the pacing after that is great. Do you NEED lasers and lightsabers to be entertained?

And there isn’t even a shortage of lasers! There’s plenty of people getting shot at!

Like holy shit, have subway surfer tiktok videos ruined your brain so much that you can’t listen to a well-paced content-rich conversation? It’s not like it’s a lot of talking where nothing gets said, every conversation is so dense I catch details on a second watch.

Disney releases 10 Star Wars series full of wholesome key jiggling for the menchildren of the world and the first ounce of better content we get they jump to our throats saying we want to make everything boring and sad

Yeah that’s the other thing, 95% of Star Wars content is made for you illiterate babies, let us have our 24 episodes of the one boring and sad show.

Also, were these people complaining that Game of Thrones was boring and sad? Or Breaking Bad? Honestly they probably were complaining about both of those when they had character heavy episodes now that I think about it

This is the best thing (live action) to star wars since the original trilogy and Rogue One. Period.

Such a weird take. A new hope starts out with an entire planet getting destroyed and Luke’s aunt and uncle being turned to BBQ. I know it’s not given the actual emotional weight that it would have in reality, but it’s not like everything was roses.
