I’m jealous, the only time I saw a Kookaburra it was sitting high up in a tree (might have been an old gum tree I can’t remember). Seeing them this close must be amazing.
I hand fed them on that balcony. Once I walked out with some cooked chicken legs with the intention of ripping bits off and throwing those bits.
Well this one cheeky bugger swooped and started to fight me for the whole leg. I kept hold of it though. And I tell you those beaks are rather large and very powerful.
