Kneecap has apologized to the families of Cox and Amess. It said it has never supported Hamas or Hezbollah and that the footage circulating online has been “deliberately taken out of all context” as part of a “smear campaign” following their criticism of Israel and the United States in regards to the war in Gaza.
I’d like to know the context that this was supposedly in that makes it ok lol
In what context is it not okay?
The context where it’s telling people to murder members of parliament…
Tories not people.
That doesn’t change what is being said. Calling for murder is calling for murder, and the “context” of “they’re people I hate” changes nothing. Their quote was that it was “taken out of context”, but you’re even agreeing that it wasn’t taken out of context, just that you agree with the context.
Also you’re a mod here? And you’re saying that it’s absolutely fine to advocate for the killing of anyone that supports a political party that you don’t like?
I guess we don’t care about rule number 1 then haha. That’s cool, now that I know that’s how it is here and that the line isn’t even crossed by calling for murder it’s all good. I’m all for free speech, generally with the exception of direct threats to someones life.
I’d personally say it’s a call for self defense from people actively trying to suppress and hurt innocent people.
This community is fine for say calling for more Luigi’s, less fine with calling for more Christchurch shooters.
So fine with some murderers, not fine with others, just depends on the politics in play?
Doing bad things to bad people is a good thing. Being a decent person means full throated support of anyone who’d put a stop to evil.
And by “bad people” you mean everyone who supports a political party that you don’t?
A xenophobic, racist, islamophobic, homophobic, transphobic, pauperophobic, ableist party? Yes.
By the way, Popper would slap the shit out of you.
Well you definitely must be right because you pulled out all the “phobic” terms to shout about.
