We asked readers to share stories of surprising moments of faith in no more than 100 words. In these (very) short essays, they explain how they faced these struggles with the help of God.
I love how religious people cherry pick out these clearly fictional nonsense stories. I spent 2 years working in a retirement home, watching old people pray to God for various things. None of them ever got any of them. Catholics who try to hold on to their beliefs in the real world have to twist them into evil nonsense like mother Teresa and pretend that suffering is somehow a virtue. Because once you go out in the real world you sure see a lot of suffering and a lot of people asking God to make it stop.
You’re allowed to believe whatever you want. And I’m allowed to believe what I want. Freedom of religion and all that. I wish no ill will towards you and hope that you have a great day.
