That’s part of why I didn’t carry on with Nu Star Wars after watching The Force Awakens. “Isn’t this just… the same damned story as Star Wars?” “Doesn’t this make everything in the original trilogy basically a waste of time?” Although perhaps there’s a lesson in that… as forces that seemed defeated in 1865 are back again… yet again.
