Oh god, this reminds me of a Netflix show (Brand New Cherry Flavor, I think it was called?) where a shithead film producer gets a worm larva up his nose from cocaine (put there by our protagonist, actually) and then several episodes later, well, I’m actually not going to type it here, it’s an extremely horrifying scene. The whole show is extremely fucked up, actually. I didn’t enjoy it, I don’t know why I kept watching.
I vaguely remember that show although not that specific scene. It had a lot of body horror in it. I remember enjoying it if only because it was horror without jumpscares, but some scenes were hard to watch (intentionally so).
Yeah, I recognize it was a pretty good show, I understand why people like it, but it was much too much for me! It scarred me a little, for sure, especially that later cocaine-worm scene. I think I’d rather a jump scare or two than the amount (and horrifyingness) of body horror that was present!

I have a really specific fear of body. Body. Especially anything that involves a living thing trapped inside another living thing.
That one scene from Nope still haunts me.
