Okay so assuming that the data presented is more or less correct. It seems like there would have had to have been an experienced triple 7 pilot at the controls the whole time. The video seems to imply that the captain was the only one who could have done this.

What do people think is that an overreach of the video or not?

He makes a good video. But it’s more fictional than anything else. He creates a scenario that’s possible with the data, but he doesn’t make it clear what is speculation versus data. The whole scenario with the first officer banging on the door, there’s no data for any of that. It’s a plausible scenario… Sure

My mouth was agape when he revealed the figure-8…

He hypothesized in the video that the figure-8 was to check to make sure no ships were in the area to further decrease risk of detection. Personally, I think it’s not unreasonable to assume it was just a final joyride into the abyss.

Maybe waiting for the pane to go down while it’s out of range of any possible radar? It seems to be in the middle of the ocean and maybe that was where he planned to more or less run out of fuel 🤷‍♂️

It was quite possible to make sure there was zero fuel onboard. Fuel will float and make a large slick that could be spotted from the air. Assuming part of this was to make sure that it would be as difficult as possible to find. This would be in line.
