      I mean, The Expanse ran until season 6, which was a nice place to stop even though it didn’t technically finish the story from the books. Highly recommend both watching and reading (even if you’re not into sci-fi - because I am not)

        I don’t know about that. Missing out on the whole Laconia arc which essentially finishes the protomolecule storyline really was disappointing

      I left after season one, not because of the racial complaints, but once they went off script I was totally lost

          I keep hearing that (no reason to doubt it, since I stopped watching in S1). But did the script ever get back on track with the books, or did it just keep on diverging? Because that’s the main complaint I and a lot of people have with the series.

            No. They were covering important parts of the story but not in the same way as the books. Like Matt beating the princlings with a stick. That scene happened, but when and the circumstances of it happening were different.

            I think the main thing is that if you go in wanting the books, you won’t be happy. I choose to approach it as a different turning of the wheel. Important parts of the story are the same, but exactly how everything happens is different.
