We agree, though the thing about not being with past lovers was kinda bullshit. It’s the future polyamory could always be a thing, which would stop their concerns we feel.

The thing with past relationships is that they give the worms to people so that the worms can learn new experiences and pass them on to the next generation. If the worms are basically just living the same generation over and over again it defeats the purpose (in their eyes). I think the whole banishment thing was a bit harsh of a punishment, though.

        Yes, but this assumes that:

        1. The ‘worms’ don’t change and nor do the people who inherent them, normally, over a lifetime.

        2. Polyamory isn’t an option, which it could and should be.

        3. People might have very relationships, even accounting for monogamy (kind of related to 1).

        Definitely agree banishment is harsh.

He literally can’t. Startrek.website permanently banned a year and a half ago after I started calling out their mods/admins for harassment. The admins went so far as to contacting the admins of my Mastodon Instance and of Lemmy.world to try and get me permanently banned. Obviously went nowhere.
