This is incredible. Out of curiosity, what do you have to do before it’s finished?
Only feedback I could give is that the central uwater bulge is blurry, and out of focus, but I assume this’s just a quick screenshot.
Either way absolutely beautiful concept with great execution.
I used to make scenes like this in 3DS Max back in the day. They made it so hilariously easy at one point to generate stuff like this. Obviously I know more work was put into this than some simple generation, so I applaud the scene; it looks very good.
I’m looking around now and it doesn’t look like it was max, but I vividly remember something in the early 2000s that generated scenes like this. You could choose how high the cloud cover was, you could make it “woodsy” or snowy, etc.
Bryce 3D.
It was so, so easy to make stunning landscapes. I miss it still.
YES! Oh my childhood! You are a saint my man! I was starting to second guess myself and be like “oh, no way I could be remembering it right, no way it looked THAT good”…but I looked it up and holy shit it totally did! :D
Much better than average in Blender. You’ve out doughnut my sketchy sprinkles.
