Reviving the beloved Mass Effect series - again! - may be a tough mission, but the veteran crew behind the upcoming Mass Effect 5 know a little something about assembling a squad to take on impossible odds.

Please just let this franchise die, or if you have to continue it separate it completely from anything to do with Shepard’s story except for a reference here and there for the die hard fans. I’m open to be surprised, but after the mess that is DA Dreadwolf I don’t see it happening anytime soon…
Is Dreadwolf a mess? They’ve shown almost nothing of it and I don’t recall any negative reactions to what they have shown. You have any links? I’m interested to see because I like that franchise as well.

I think this is a decent summary, with some of the negative news I remember tucked away all the way at the bottom. So unlike I thought it will not be live service, and will be single player, very happy with that, but the fact that multiple big names with important roles left the last couple of years does not spark any hope for me. Also, it’s supposed to be a GoW 2018 type of combat system, which to me sounds like they’re chasing a trend and not continuing with the more tactical rpg gameplay I loved about the first game. Lastly, the fact that it’s supposed to release this year but we haven’t really seen any real gameplay is kinda sus imo.
So again, I’m willing to be surprised, but just don’t expect anything decent from it.
