Yeah, but Black Sabbath literally created (Heavy) Metal due to Tony Iommi’s accident.
Sabbath > Maiden any day of the week.
As someone who loves both, I have to agree.
It’s the most popular bands from each country, not the most popular bands in each country. So Maiden could have only been in the UK and Sabbath beat them out.
For some reason I thought they were huge in Brazil and the rest of South America too.
