Gay people are people first, and some people are bad people, gay or not. I am under no obligation to support or excuse bad people just because they are gay, and I am not homophobic because I call out bad gay people for their poor behavior.

No, you’re homophobic by stating that all homophobia (or at minimum, all homophobic murder) comes from gay people, while ‘regular’ straight people “just don’t care”.
To be honest it’s amazing you’re not already banned. But you’ve time to yet admit that was maybe an absolutely dogshit awful thing to say.
I didn’t say that at all, but it can’t be denied that we have seen many cases some of the worst anti-gay politicians and preachers turning out to be gay themselves, so when I see someone making it a huge focus, I assume that’s their personal issue. It almost always turns out to be true.
The most common anti-gay bigotry comes from those who don’t talk about it, and just don’t like people just because they are gay. I don’t think that those people are gay, just stupid.
But if you are making a big deal about it, and getting in the media to complain about it, you are probably covering something up. Mentally balanced people, gay or straight, don’t behave that way.
That’s not true… it would be so easy to grift on Fox or whatever about the latest minority to hate if you don’t care about others, and by the looks of it, you seem willing to do it for free.

If you’re calling a bad person who happens to be gay out by way of referring to them being gay then yes actually it’s still homophobic, because them being gay is presented as a bad thing, and if I had to put money in it I’d bet that there’s no way in hell you’re not completely misrepresenting the situation
