Oh no, you see he was just passing by when he noticed that the farmworker was possessed and he decided to perform an impromptu exorcism.

It’s like a snakebite. He’s sucking the demon seed out.

So the tape came out after he won the primary but before the election. The GOP tried to push a write in campaign for his primary opponent. Some said they’d vote for the dem candidate. But due to republican gerrymandering, the sucker still won.

Nah that wasn’t due to gerrymandering, or no more than any other election at least. That was due by the fact that Republican voters will vote for the the party no matter what. He could have been having a bukake party at the parking lot and they still would have voted for.

        that wasn’t due to gerrymandering,

That was due by the fact that Republican voters will vote for the the party no matter what

And gerrymandering works by the politicians choosing their voters rather than the other way around.

In this case by artificially making sure that there’s enough “GOP no matter what” voters in the district to guarantee a Republican victory.

I hate stories like this because it makes it seem like there’s something wrong with being gay.

I get that we’re supposed to dislike this guy because he’s a hypocrite, but that’s not what is written. What’s written is “giving a blow job”.

    Am I just being I over-sensitive here?

Yes, you’re being overly sensitive here.

The negative thing on display isn’t the blowjob, it’s the harm he causes to others while himself engaging in the very acts he attacks.

If some idiot spent his life trying to make rollercoasters illegal, and then was photographed on a roller coaster have a great time, what moral value would you give to “Anti-coaster polician caught on video riding coaster.”

The headline is highlighting that the guy is a hypocrite. If it just said “Politician is a Hypocrite.” Basically everyone would be like "wtf is this article is about? How is he a hypocrite? Who wrote this uninformative headline?

I think I’m thinking “lefties don’t like him already; it doesn’t matter if he gave a BJ or not, it doesn’t matter if he’s a hypocrite or not. Right-wingers will see the headline and their takeaway will be ‘gross, he’s gay’ and the hypocrisy will be of minor importance.”

So I think your rollercoasters example is not the same in my mind. But maybe it is the same and I’m just being weird about this. Most people seem to think so from the answers I’ve had :)

You aren’t wrong that a small minority of people will see that line and think 'eww gross" and while that’s shitty in principle, it’s a reader problem, not a headline problem.

People seem to have weirdly missed that the person he sexually assaulted was an employee of his farm. Would you like your job to depend on receiving your boss’ secret blowjobs? (Quit answering yes you fucking perverts!)

He isn’t just a hypocrit, like all Republicans politicians rich people he abuses his power to extract whatever demeaning things he wants from other people, starting with their underpriced labor and apparently moving on to also extracting their seed directly as well.

Unless you have information that isn’t in this tweet, it doesn’t say that it’s not consensual or that his workers are underpaid.

The power dynamic in this ‘relationship’ is definitely icky but not necessarily sexual assault

I will take the hot take devil’s advocate position, and mostly agree with this. I’m not sure it really does too much to call out these clowns for their hypocrisy, other than make everyone sort of, feel better about their own preconcieved political dispositions, and dunk on a homophobe. The people who support these freaks are operating on a different sort of framework. Often it’s not straight up denialism as much as it is like, some sort of idiotic conception about the fall of western culture, or about god punishing the wicked from some shit that’s stupidly cited in leviticus, or paul being an asexual rapture doomer.

I think the only way that this is really like, blown, bu dum tsss, blown up into a larger issue, right, at least, for libs, rather than being like, a one-off easy dunk case, is if we maybe extrapolate that all, or a large portion, of these homophobic crusaders is also just super closeted gay dudes. I don’t know whether or not that’s the case, like disproportionately, right, but I think it’s probably not good to sort of, operate on that assumption, or extrapolate this to be the case, based on these kinds of incidents. I dunno, guys, he could be bisexual, he could be bi. This would be typical bisexual behavior, honestly. And, is it gay to be bisexual, fellas?

In any case, I mostly hate this dude more for the fact that he’s a homophobic shitbag, more than the fact that he’s giving someone a blowie. The blowie is probably his best quality, I would say. You think his head game is strong, or not? Be honest now, I don’t wanna hear that his political views prevent him from giving good head, if that were the case then bipolar sacred geometry crystal girlfriends would be out of business.

It just to show the hipocrisy. Republicans oppose everything homosexual but at the sane time show that it is something some still partake in. If anything, it shows that being a republican is hiding yourself. Giving a blowjob to men is what he opposes, but what he apparently enjoys. The blowjob itself is not the subject of the post.

I think pointing out the hypocrisy of these people is good overall. I don’t think it is saying being gay and giving blow jobs as a man is bad. It is saying someone that is opposing the rights of gay people getting caught having some sort of gay sexual acts shows how ridiculous it is to be against the rights of others to be gay.

Homebrew is always acceptable. I just haven’t had real moonshine since I lived in Kentucky. And miss me with that mass produced moonshine. Also none of my friends have the room to brew beer, but the wife and I would love to try sometime, and it would be amazing to serve at a gay orgy.

When I have a yard I want to grow fruit to start vinting.
