As soon as a dyed-in-the-wool Republican was appointed I knew there’d be no charges, because even they can’t spin this into a crime, but the report would be a political hit. I expected the narrative be about corruption but of course it’s age. I feel so stupid for that not seeing that coming; with their “corruption” narrative falling on its face over and over again, “he’s old” is literally all they have.
