Hey comrades, I’m looking to hear experiences from people who’ve received visas or citizenship for China.
I’m thinking about moving to China in the future but my resume isn’t stellar. I’ve never graduated US highschool and my only work experience is as a farmhand, in a warehouse, and in a factory. I don’t think I have any extremely marketable skills for something like a work visa. Interested to hear from y’all!
Citizenship is extremely hard to obtain - basically impossible, a few western comrades have achieved it but their contribution to the PRC was extraordinary.
Without a university degree it’s not possible to obtain a work visa.
If you want to move to move to China you’re going to have to improve yourself so that you won’t be a burden upon their society first. Complete a university degree in a useful field first.
This may not be what you were hoping to hear but this is the reality of the situation.
There are programmes that can help you obtain a GED at minimal cost. Once you’ve finished your high school equivalent qualification, you can get government grants or loans to obtain higher education. Most debts are unlikely to follow you if you move far away.
The days of China accepting people just for being white westerners are over. Please consider continuing with your education even if you are worried about being “too old”
