    The green party, I suppose we were being too harsh when saying they’re nimbys who don’t want wind turbines built.

    They’re nimbys who don’t want lots of other things built too

    It’s always a worry about where there is a better option however, sooner rather than later something has to happen. Is this really NIMBYs pushing back?

      It is pure nimbyism. There have already been consultations which showed other options would be more expensive and slower, but also more environmentally destructive than pylons. Ramsay - the Green’s co-leader - doesn’t like the result of the consultations so deploying the classic nimby tactic of demanding more consultations.
