Speaking of Dragon Ball, it’s in a very weird “how to progress further” dillema after Toriyama’s death. Various people have the rights for different purposes; and want to do different things with the franchise.

I love Dragon Ball, but as a franchise, it’s shit.
The original DB was a light hearted adventure series.
Then DBZ was a lot darker and introduced most of the series lore.
Then GT turned Goku into a kid, and tried to do both.
Super tried to recreate the lightheartedness of the original DB, but with the Z fights - some of it was good, most wasn’t.
The upcoming series, Daima, everyone magically turns chibi. Evidently, Toriama is fixated on returning to the original DB.
I don’t think Daima will be good. Toriama needs to let kid goku go.
Toriama is dead. I don’t think dead people can fixate on anything.
