Mind control is objectively the best option. Using the ability to affect the dispositions of others, I’d easily be able to perv on guys and hump them in their sleep.

Mind control is objectively better than the others only if you have no morals.

Yet you could also do much more good with mind control powers than the others. You could be the ultimate mediator, force peace through a means other than violence, get massive changes in place to help the environment, etc. The power absolutely has potential for great evil, but a good person could accomplish much.

I believe the counter-argument to that would be that no act that is a result of mind control could be considered to be unequivocally good. The act of mind control itself is an inherent evil because it is forcing someone to do something they may not intrinsically desire without their consent. It’s mental rape. Even in a scenario where the outcome is good, the ends wouldn’t justify the means.

I’m not 100% sure how far this argument extends for me, but I find it generally more persuasive than the notion that “one good person” will be able to net more good than harm from the use of the power.

granted. you can control your own mind.

Wait no I don’t know how but somehow that’s got to be technically just as powerful as controlling someone else’s

Got anxiety? No you don’t. Need to study for a test? Your new photographic memory says otherwise. Wish you could play a game again for the first time? Can’t wait to play that new game I just heard about, it’s gotten all kinds of praise!

if you get to just control one person’s mind, I guess. I’m good enough at my own. I was interpreting it as controlling anyone’s mind, as in a bunch of people at a time. You could just tell them you’re invisible, for one.

I would accept Mind Control in any scenario except if they realize they were mind controlled (damn D&D).

If it’s short range I’d finally get a decent job and would never have to worry about being attacked in public.

If it can be used over camera, become an influencer, “hey guys if all of you that are within your means could donate 1 dollar to my GoFundMe I’d greatly appreciate it”. Instant semi ethical riches.

If I could use it on the mirror, “Wirlocke you’re going to feel well rested and do x task”.

One other thing is that mind control must not be a universal thing, so it should only happen when you want it. Otherwise, first it would break social interactions, second it would quickly become boring.

Every time I see this I laugh at the background discussion that would have gone into this one joke

Are they allowed to do it? Should they? Is it worth it? How much censorship was required? How close to being cut was it?

      Haha

No. Your back still hurts but you’re just really strong now. You can lift a whole car while you’re lying flat on the ground though!

My SI joints and TFL - part of quad that attaches to my hip) are brutal.

Too much shitty walking in heavy boots. I find activity actually helps, now that I’m mostly recovered after a pile of massage and physio. If I stay still (sit at my desk for a week).though I start to seize up
