It’s like I get daily reminders to finish moving files off my laptop, so I can wipe Windows and install Linux.
I recently installed Linux on some old PCs. They had Windows 10 and wouldn’t install 11. Glad I didn’t go for dual boot!
Again.
Good thing I haven’t booted into windows for some weeks. Might as well just delete it and free up some more space for po… games. For games.
I think you should use the space for potato. Liquid potato also good for cooling pc

I recently tried to convert a 2-yo Lenovo running Windows-11 to dual-boot. Gave up after three days and just went with Ubuntu. It shouldn’t be this hard.
One time that happened to me so I just didn’t boot into windows for a few months and then just decided to rm it
I was wondering last night where Ubuntu was on my gf’s living room gaming rig. I can’t recall uninstalling it, but the boot menu was only listing Windows. Will have to live boot Ubuntu and have a look at Gparted to see if the ext4 partition is still there.
How insane is it that there is no practical way to work with ext4 from within windows.
It’s an open source file system. It’s decades overdue that windows starts acknowledging other file systems exist.
Been using Linux since the early 2000’s and I’ve dual booted a few times, but mostly had Linux as my main os for this time. This has happened so many times to me, the last time like 4 years ago, I just will live without the software that doesn’t work in wine…
