Hey all, I’ve not been putting as much time into Lemmy as I thought I would, so I’m requesting applications for new mods! There isn’t really anything to do in terms of reactive moderation, there’s almost never any reports etc, but a proactive approach to growing the community, encouraging posts, and all that sort of thing would be great.
Let me know below if you are interested!
You still looking? I’d like to volunteer.
Thanks but with two now that is enough! If the community grows we’ll come back out for another in the future.
Don’t know if he’s interested, but @[email protected] seems to be active in this community and is a great person overall, so I’d vouch for him as mod for what it’s worth. But he may well have too much on his plate as is.
Yes, indeed, thanks for thinking about me, but I already have a lot of communities 😅
I thought as much, but you never know!
I would like to nominate @[email protected] and @[email protected]
I support @[email protected], on my side I already have a lot of communities so I would rather not take another one 😄
What about yourself? You’re quite active here!
Doesn’t seem like there are many volunteers. I’d be happy to work as backup if you just want another pair of eyes to watch out for reports. I’m an admin on programming.dev (@[email protected]) so I already check for reports on a daily basis anyway.

On that note, one thing I miss from r/soccer is the live threads so I’ve gotten around to write a match thread bot for lemmy. I was/is planning to launch it on the 9th (Norway-Austria) if get the approval from the mods to have a have bot running in the community. An example of the live thread format the bot generates
That sounds great, I also miss match threads. You’re hired!
Live threads sound great !
It was actually your posts and a comment you made while posting match threads during the euros that inspired me to make it :)
Nice!
