He’s making hay out of the far right riots. Bit of an open goal but unfortunately we live in times where you can’t take being anti-racist for granted.
Overall I think he’s nailed this speech. He’s sounding much more positive and like he has a plan for the future. Both things that were missing in their comms before.
Rachel Reeves was getting a lot of praise for her speech yesterday but it definitely felt flat compared to this.
Bit boring, I thought. Last year’s was better.
I was basically happy with the content, but it needed more hope spots.

I suspect the party leadership welcome it to be honest. Lets them draw a clear dividing line between them and the Corbyn era and reassure the public they aren’t radicals.
