Has anyone ever woken up and decided to drop their klan robes and become a Marxist? Or quit the SS and a year later joining worker picket lines?

I never expressed sentiment irl or joined a hate group, but there was a time in my life, 12 years ago that I was into 4chan and antisemitism. Loooooong story short but life events including addiction and mental health problems got me to drop the act thinking I was some kind of ubermensch white man and actually listen to people who are different to me and find solidarity with them.

So I can see right through it when some moron starts claiming that being anti-zionist is antisemtism, motherfucker I was an antisemite, I know what it looks like.

Same tbh. I was an angry teen doing dumb shit, and nearly got into the incel, alt-right pipeline. One day I woke up and was like, why do I hate these people? Took a long time but I worked my way out of the trash heap.

I should read the book by Edward Behr The Last Emperor because it details not just the Qing emperor reforming but also some of the fiercest KMT and imperial Japanese officers were somehow rehabilitated, and I’m curious about who these people were

I think we should specify here that I’m guessing OP is referring to this change happening in adults. I liked the colbert report unironically as a 12 year old shit head but then my brain developed and I learned about empathy and inequality.

That being said I have no examples but I imagine if you could somehow get a fascist to drop their eugenics mindset (challenge: EXTREME) I don’t think it would be too hard to get them to come around. We might have to make up a new word for communism though shrug-outta-hecks

there might be some “socialism but only for white people” bullet receptacles who get the lee atwater brain tumor and drop the white supremacist part but i wouldn’t put much effort into finding them and i would never trust one.

One the host of the colonial outcasts, (Mark Wayne I think) was looking to join the idf before he learned the truth. Now he’s a member of the black panthers.

Malcolm X had a pretty wild journey and while he never fully shed some reactionary and huckster aspects of his past, he became progressively communist.
