It’s a game mechanics. If you hate Shane then don’t complete 10 heart event(Just don’t go near bus). And this comic is just representing that cutscene. And also the player(you) love shane in game(It’s a RPG and it’s predefined). Also, the whole point of that event is to marry Shane because you love him. I get your point touching someone without their consent is SA. But not in this one because cleary according to game you love Shane. Also one question to you: Do you play Stardew Valley or not?

Shane’s reaction betrays he acted without establishing consent, aka committed SA. There is no other reason for him to feel guilty and make excuses other than trying to soften any backlash his action might’ve caused. Even if there was explicit consent along the lines of “hold me tight and kiss me” he is unaware of it and decided to act regardless. Nothing can excuse this. This is textbook SA.
