The only issue I have is with steam listing it’s first tag as LGBQ… Are people really out there soley searching for video games that match their sexual Identity?
This tag system is from the community no? LGBTQIA+ people put this one to show the game will not trigger them and a lot of “too much woke” also put this tag to show that the game is “woke”
Sometimes I purposefully seek out LGBTQ games.
It’s nice to see a story that I can actually relate to once in a while, instead of another “straight-white guy who is enough of an every man to be relatable to the masses, but still strong enough to save the world and get the girl.” Seeing the same “Hero’s Story” over and over and over in media gets boring, and if you want to see more of something, that thing needs to be profitable so more people make it.
Are you being sarcastic?
No, I just didn’t understand the tag, but the replies here cleared things up for me.
Ah, your choice of phrasing put me off, I believe. Also, it’s “LGBTQ+”, btw. 🙇🏽♂️🖖🏽
Yeah my bad, I was going of my memory of what I saw, which is never the best option xD
I’ll try to remember to use the correct form from now on
No worries, it’s the effort that counts — especially when it’s nearly as often “LGBTQIA”, “LGBTQIA+”, etc. 🤪 Way to show up, though. 🫀🤓
Yes. Remember when people were upset that V’s pronouns were tied to their genitals? And it wasn’t the usual right-wing shitheads complaining.
Tons of gamers actually do spend the time looking for a game that won’t “trigger” them in some way - which imo defeats the purpose of a lot of games that are made but whatever. People are able to do what they want with their time.
I was extremely late to the party with Inquisition, was there anywhere near this much gnashing of teeth over Krem? Like, his identity is pretty heavily tied to his history, it’s part of why he even ended up with the Bull’s in the first place.
From the “too much woke group” of course people complain about it, but in the fandom not much, but Krem is handle pretty well he not even use the terms like transgender and they use him to explain a little bit of the qun so the fandom focus more on the lore than him itself.
I don’t give any attention to the manufactured outrage & the cringey idjits who blithely/proudly regurge it. Simple as.
That said, I’m enjoying the light-hearted fairytale style as a nice change of pace from my tendency toward darker, grittier fantasy (ie. behemoths like BG3 & Souls, etc.), plus the bonus of having Erika Ishii’s talented voice for my Rook … is so fuzzy-lovely-perfect that I might stay awhile and listen. 🥰❤️🔥🖖🏼
