I don’t mind managing passwords. I simply do not WANT to create another account.
Life became so much easier when I started using a password manager. Now I just have to worry about losing literally everything if my PC with the password file dies ;v;
Jokes aside I do hope you have that backed up somewhere.
In my case my home server backs up to my dads home server.
I’m actually even going above the 3-2-1 rule. I’ve got 4 copies: 2 permanently off-site (1x cloud, 1x local off-site) and one permanently with me.
Edit: all of them are encrypted
Edit: all of them are encrypted
Could you imagine?
Four redundant backups for essential login details.
Plaintext.
I work in IT. You don’t want to know what horrors I have seen when it comes to password management TwT
I have 4 remote backups!
plaintext post-it notes, one at work, two at parents house, one in wallet, all of which clearly state all required details for complete and total identify theft and financial ruin
I made an offsite backup of my master password by carving it into a nearby tree. I have to re-carve it every 10 years, but it’s still better than SSDs
(Or you could set up a keepass with the password to your passwords hidden behind a very strong password written in a notebook)
(Please don’t make fun of me)
Bitwarden with self-hosted Vaultwarden ftw
