Hello, I’m going to start my first play through of Oblivion tonight. I was wondering if anyone had any tips for on what mods to use or what to check out in the game?

Play it vanilla bare bones first time! Do all the side quests to your hearts content and enjoy the game!
While I’m an advocate for playing games canilla the first go around, Oblivion is a Bethesda game and therefore full of bugs. I’d recommend setting up a minimal mod list just to get essential fixes
Another tip is the leveling system is busted as hell. For instance, health increases by a rate in relation to your endurance level. If you don’t level up endurance early, your character can be fragile later on.
You don’t have to max out endurance, just keep it maintained.
