Yeah I had no idea either how bad it was until another user on lemmy pointed out the company that has been set up by the owners, and then one day @[email protected] posted the open letter in [email protected].
And other good news: the community fork developers (who also were trusted and long established contributors of OM) allowed us to make the lemmy community [email protected] an official community! They participate in that community too!
It is really nice how the fork came together so quickly and smoothly. There is infinitely more value in having the community decide the future of the development process.
I can’t wait for the finalized logo and the first public release of the app!
