Hi all. If you pay for Parcel Post online but don’t have a printer, can you go to the PO and get them to print it out for you?

This is actually a really bad problem because I thought that certain communities I am a member of are quite active but coming in from aussie.zone, they look completely dead. It was making me start to switch off from Lemmy.
I just realised this was happening and is a tech issue rather than an engagement with Lemmy as a platform issue. I wish it was fixed.
I also just found out that Under The Milky Way was co-written by Steve Kilbey and his partner at the time, whose band I linked to in the post. Not a bad earner, I would imagine!
You’re welcome! Thanks for the response.
Try the jangle pop My Bloody Valentine? This album was a compilation of music that came out before their first Creation Records album.
Ecstasy and Wine (1989) - Yewtube or Youtube
My picks from Loveless would be Only Shallow, When You Sleep, Come In Alone but basically most of the album.
They can’t be everyone’s cup of tea, so it’s fine if you don’t get into them. I’m the same with a lot of bands. I came to MBV at a formative time in my life and they were pretty much the first “famous” band that I ever saw live, but even now, I can’t say that I listen to them all the time.
In case you’re interested in that vinyl re-issue. I had it on cassette and possible, later on CD, but never on wax.
Found an English language interview with the band, and have been listening to their Bandcamp. It’s nice.
Uncanny. I listened to Brubeck a few hours ago.
Just giving a listen to the Obey Robots album that came out last month year, and it’s really good. Edit: the other half od Obey Robots is Gareth “Rat” Pring from Ned’s Atomic Dustbin.
This is how I think about this.
Edit - this is what comes to mind when I think about this
90% of my week (at least it felt like it) was focussed on Alvvays. I count myself as very lucky to see them on consecutive nights, during the week, and both gigs were soooooooo good. I saw them 4 years ago and have really liked them for a while before that…but now I really love them. They probably top my personal chart right now and will do for a while, I think. Seeing this NPR set capped off a great week of fandom!
I lived in the UK for 10 years and am married to a Scot, so I understand the similarities and differences!
It’s almost the perfect site for a music festival and impeccably organised. The single thing I dislike about it is that there isn’t an area that has car-free camping. I always take the bus there and it would be so much better not to have all the motor vehicles mixed in with the tents.
Because I knew nothing about the nomination and award process, I looked it up. Seems reasonably cromulent, actually. Of course, there could be all sort of hidden machinations.
It’s the Grammys, so that’s not unexpected!
The gig was so good that I bought a ticket for their second show!
I will have to listen to more. What podcast was it?
