Seems to me that Cain and Abel represent a divide between agricultural and pastoral society. Of course god favors the pastoral offering because it is the societal type of the ancient Hebrews. Not sure how deep the metaphor goes tho.

I often listen to wtyp despite finding it to be not a very good podcast, but they definitely have what you’re looking for when they cover US military / NATO hardware.
