  • From a budget phone to a flagship?

Yeah, i can see how the difference would be night and day…

Regardless pixel is a great series of phone if the OS works for you then stick with google phones.

Personally i like samsung. Even if they have gotten pretty shady. Since i owned the s2 years back i have always found myself liking samsung.

Tried nexus 6, tried the OG pixel which i liked but ruined when i dropped it in a barrel filled with potatos and water. (No k wont elaborate, its more fun to leave you guessing)

Tried huawei and enjoyed my p20 pro and p30 pro but once the fold 3 came out i was back with samsung. Got a fold 6 now and am very happy.

If i recall, since the advent of smart phones, i went: Sony xperia x10, Galaxy S2, Galaxy S4 mini, Google Nexus 6, Google Pixel, Huawei P20 pro, Huawei P30 pro, Galaxy Fold 3, Galaxy Fold 6,

  • Since when did gfx cards need to cost more than a used car?

We are being scammed by nvidia. They are selling stuff that 20 years ago, the equivalent would have been some massive research prototype. And there would be, like, 2 of them in an nvidia bunker somewhere powering deep thought whilst it calculated the meaning of life, the universe, and everything.

3k for a gfx card. Man my whole pc cost 500 quid and it runs all my games and pcvr just fine.

    Could it run better? Sure

Does it need to? Not for 3 grand…

    Fuck me!..

  • Everything good starts off kinda cool and niche. Then money people get hold of it and give it room to grow. Then it is great and would remain great in this happy space where it doesn’t cost too much to make and isn’t burdened with extras and advertisements. Then they want it to grow more than it feasibly can. So, it gets ruined by corporatism and capitalism. It gets buggy or broken, it gets adverts and microtransactions or time locks to squeeze money out of it until it is now so shit and so expensive no one wants it anymore and they have to either can it or can something else to pay for it.

This is the life cycle of everything good in your life since you were born.

If there was some way to get money people to not try to push past the natural limit of any one products profitability, we might see more better and sustainable products as well as more innovation and invention.

Capital and profit often block great ideas from happening because it would adversely affect a product that currently makes a lot of money.

It feels to me that at some point, we will just need to do away with all categories. At what point does it stop being useful to keep putting labels on points on a possibly infinite spectrum?

Would it be better to just push for acceptance in all forms? Forget the labels and just be yourself and accept others for who they are? (Barring, of course, people who are evil or criminal, etc)

My personal experience has been one of:i am unsure of my sexuality and unsure of my gender. Eventually, i decided that I wouldn’t focus on what gender or sexuality i am since i dont fit into the main categories. i will just be my own category and enjoy my life the way i want to live it.

I know who i am, and i know what i am. I dont need a label to feel secure about that.

Man was enough, and straight was enough to make things easier for me and others. even though i am not quite man and not quite straight. I fit nicely into neither category, but both are close enough that i am content to just say that rather than have to explain myself to everyone i meet.

Anyone who knows me or gets to know me will know who and what i am eventually.

  • I’ve been meaning to ask how donald trump intends to “make america great again” when it stopped being “great” shortly after he became president.

You can’t make it worse on purpose and then make it better again and say “see! I made it great again”

But i suppose he did do that with the price of eggs. So maybe thats the plan.

Oh well! Like his cognitive function, the plan is failing,
