No shit. I’m at the Dr asking for PT rx and they don’t fight me one iota. I just motion at my shoulders. “They are behind me.”
You sure that facility is going to be staffed? They’re cutting the SS admin staff to barebones and closing the offices so that people can’t complain. They don’t want to hear you, they don’t care about you. As far as Musk and Trump are concerned, they already have your money, it’s just how to funnel it into their bank account instead of yours. There’s no way to stop them plundering the entire SS fund, no one in government was relying on that money for themselves anyway.
They can and they will destroy it. There’s nothing to stop them.
Security theater, just like the TSA. They don’t need to stop bad actors, they just need to convince their shareholders that they are taking action against losses.
If he’s capitulating to Nazis, that makes him complicit. Sorry if he had other good qualities, but he’s bending the knee.
I have a close friend who met her spouse through a support group for a medical condition they both have. While each new diagnosis is a challenge, it can also be a new avenue to connect with other people. Get into support groups, advocacy and related activities and let those communities help you feel less alone. With that, you will naturally meet and mingle with others who understand your situation, and that’s how you find a romantic partnership.
Yes, 2000 years ago Christian writers borrowed heavily from the other religions and mystery cults they were living and working with.
Smith’s copypasta use of Masonic Rituals from New York as “passed down by God” in the 1830s is a -little- different.
Smith stole from any source he could find. Most of the Mormon temple rituals are based on Masonic Temple rituals from around the same time period. John Smith was a member of a Masonic Lodge and assumed no one would notice or tell their new congregation that they used to do the same thing with their drinking buddies back East.
Fucking infuriating! This happened to my 4’11" bestie because her husband is 6’ 6". They have been called out in public so many times and had to provide they are 14 months apart in age. Funny when they were 15 and 17 but now It’s been happening for 20 years!
Craft stores are uniquely unsuited to this because they have to have thousands of suppliers. Just due to the variety of stuff available at a hobby and craft shop, you need to deal in so many thousands of SKUs but any customer needs 5-10 of them at absolute best. The only craft stores that are still independent are those that are supported by the sales of large equipment and then can also supply the owners (sewing machines, looms, etc)
This is mostly going to suck for costumers, home sewists who do anything other than quilt and machine embroidery, teachers and educators who use it for craft supplies, and probably anyone making home- health aids as a small business since they were a major support of open-cell foam in small quantities.
I was thinking about the VICP as it’s usually the one involved in child cases. I didn’t know the COVID has an independent one but with the rapid change in vaccine tech, that makes sense.
Here’s the funny thing, if that had actually happened (bad batch of a vaccine hurt kids) there is an entire Vaccine Injury Fund that will pay out to her. Medical providers have been reporting vaccine injuries for as long as we’ve had vaccines and there’s lots of very real side effects. However, it’s extremely difficult to get the payout because you have to prove the vaccine caused the injury and provide evidence that batches were the same. It’s probably gone with DOGE but the vaccine manufacturers did pay in to the fund so the money is there and always has been if people can provide their allegations.
Yes, if all had been perfect it should have only taken about an hour but dialup internet was ditzy and unreliable so I spent a huge chunk of that weekend getting a full download.
I sure remember the HOURS it took me to download that sucker on my 14.4kb modem. I was blessed by the gods with a parent in the computer industry even then so we had a 2nd phone line that I could monopolize for a day of agonizingly watching and praying not to lose connection again.
My power company found a new and infuriating way to fuck with me. They send every e-bill with a required payment of $0 and then the regular balance but my bank auto-pay only reads it as $0 due today and ignores it.
So the bank says it’s the power company’s fault, the power company claims to have no control over it. Oh and they don’t send paper bills any more (although they send me a paper report every month shaming me for stressing the grid by charging my electric car) So you have to remember to go online and look up the bill and pay it on their awful $5 transaction bill pay instead.
I was reminded after watching Never After that the Brothers Grimm claimed to be working down old folk tales but they are also the only known version of many of the tales, so it can be assumed they made up at least a few of them.
This right here.
I played 6 at launch and it was a huge downgrade from 5 but now it’s been updated so much it’s now unrecognizable from what was released as 6.
Every patch, update, and DLC will change it incrementally back into a similar experience as the others. They like to try to get real wild with the initial release but it tends to get back to the same sort of things eventually.
Thank you! I didn’t want to have to dig up the episode by hand. The YT short missed the excellent stinger that seals this joke.
Snopes isn’t what it used to be…They got bought out by their advertisement from a few years ago and the original folks who ran it are long gone.
