Clinton / Harris did not lose because they were women. They lost because they either were a neoliberal shitbag (Clinton) or could not convince people that they were not a neoliberal shitbag (Harris).

We elected a black man after years of people saying America was too racist to ever do that. There are a lot more women in America than there are black people, and it turns out that running as a progressive is pretty popular.

We don’t need to play this stupid guessing game about what genitals or skin colors will win elections. We already know the policy positions that win elections we just categorically refuse to run on them.

Tbf, market indicators don’t mean shit to people with stagnant wages who have seen 20% inflation over 5 years. Musk also said he loves Trump as much as a straight man can love another man so he seems willing to say whatever bullshit he feels like he needs to say to accomplish his goal in any given moment.

I have come to understand that this is the explanation but it still doesn’t make sense in a way that I can internalize. I don’t get the mechanics of stupidity because having what I would have called average intelligence seems like such an easy bar to clear. A+B=C comes so naturally to me that I literally can’t force my brain to do anything different and yet I know people personally who obviously don’t do that at all on their own and it amazes me. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to figure out what they’re actually doing with their thoughts. All I know for sure is that logic doesn’t exist until someone else starts the process and that is baffling.

The way a stupid persons brain works is a mystery. Understanding that is my struggle even though I know that it is the answer to the original question.

If a deity exists, he probably says the same thing about humans. Both are annoying to a more advanced being for similar reasons.

The heat could dry out your skin, which, if I’m not mistaken, is essentially what a burn is. However, as the other person noted, a sunburn is damage from radiation, not heat. So I think you could stretch the common definition of a burn to call heat induced dry skin a burn but calling it a sunburn would not be accurate.

I understand that things are happening. I’ve been to some of those protests and seen the people making a stand firsthand. It’s certainly not nothing. I’m just saying that the response we’ve seen so far is what I would have predicted for his first term. We should be making a bunch of fascists a foot shorter by now.

It’s certainly possible that I have missed some news on the subject but last I heard they had not matched the aid that was being provided under the Biden administration. I hope you are right and that has changed.

That doesn’t mean he’ll get to do what he wants. He loves playing golf and sexually assaulting women. Soon enough he won’t be able to force his body to do either of those things. Of course he’ll live better than most but he still can’t bully old age and that’s a fact that I look forward to watching him confront.

He’s an 80 year old man in increasingly poor health. Wherever he goes after his presidency, if he even makes it that long, he won’t be able to enjoy his life the way he wants to. I find some small measure of comfort in that thought.
