Yeah, I think going toe to toe with the far right once again was always Macron’s plan. This is the foe he’s familiar with, against whom he won before. The short deadline for the anticipated election was probably to keep the left from organizing, as to not disturb their duel. But it backfired when the left immediately formed the Front Populaire. Now he’s nervous. The polls give his party third place, so he’s playing for second. He thinks if it’s the centrist against the far right, the “barrage vote” will save him once more.

What’s shocking is the extent to which they go to demean the left, and the amount of media that help spread his baseless accusation. Everyone knows at this point that the center will lose, so they’re choosing who they’ll lose too. They maybe think it’ll erase the left and let Macron’s clan be seen as the alternative to fascism during the next presidential elections…

And the hero should say “HEEEEEEEYEAAAAAAAHYEAAAAAAAHYEAAAHYEAAAH, HEEEEEYEAAAAHHYEAH !” they’d say “HEY, WHAT’S GOIN’ ON !”

Je ne suis habituellement pas le dernier à critiquer Jean-Luc Mélenchon et la France Insoumise. Je suis d’accord avec la plupart de leurs idées, mais je préfère la structure du PCF avec sa démocratie interne et ses forts liens avec la CGT, donc je n’ai pas trop apprécié quand la FI semblait vouloir absorber le PCF avec son modèle plus proche de celui de la REM. Cependant, à un niveau pragmatique, il faut rendre à César ce qui est à César : La méthode de Mélenchon a été plus efficace. D’ailleurs, même le PCF a eu tendance à l’imiter un peu, en centrant plus ses campagnes sur la personnalité du candidat (Roussel, pour qui je n’ai d’ailleurs pas un amour extraordinaire non plus).

Donc en ce moment, où nous avons avant tout besoin de résultats, je trouve approprié de laisser une place centrale à la FI. J’espère que le modèle du PCF ne disparaîtra pas à son profit, mais la survie du PCF est secondaire quand la survie du concept de la gauche ; et peut-être la survie matérielle de certaines communautés est en cause.

On garde l’espoir jusqu’au bout. Quoi qu’il arrive on n’abandonne pas. Continuez d’essayer de parler à vos amis et connaissances qui pourraient ne pas voter FP, et votez vous-même coûte que coûte. Et si le RN passe… On continue. On a enfin un front uni, ça doit compter pour quelque chose. Mais tout ne se passera plus forcément dans les urnes.
