My partner runs Windows, I run two separate distros not by choice but by driver support. I was messing around on her computer the other day, had to pull something up. I was startled by just how sluggish the entire experience was. Mind you, one of the distros I run is a destroyer of ram. I couldn’t believe it. I felt like I was hanging out on a computer with fifty viruses and the pop-ups were coming for me.
I think they’re doing what they have to do to be honest. I don’t like that they fired everyone. I don’t like what they’ve done to their publishing. I am not particularly interested in buying their things anymore. I think a part of that is because they started so whimsically. Some of my favorite games of all time have come from the bundles. Things have changed, but every fudgin’ thing in this world has gone up. So clearly, even with a skeleton crew (that’s what they have to be running, right?) they more than likely were going to raise the price. Because they gotta do that capitalist thing.
I don’t like it. I have never liked it. I think this is more of a “is what it is” thing. For a hobby, it gives you a smattering of games for typically the price of one, on sale. It’s freakin’ stupid as hey-sauce it’s a subscription. Let alone that you need to jumpy through an insane amount of hoops to get your games/unsubscribe. My gal grabbed the one with The Thaumaturge recently, so I saw the lot first hand.
I think they really need to re-evaluate their next few steps however, or they will basically be nullified by whatever is next. If there is a what’s next, in gaming bundles. Not sure. I just tend to buy what I like, and what I like is weird.

I feel like there’s a very clear message here that people should be respected for who they are. Feminism as far as I know has two very separate major sects, but I also haven’t studied it in a very long time. There’s difference feminism which believes that there are intrinsic biological differences between the sexes, but that these differences do not equate to any being superior. Then there is equality feminism which focuses more on the fact that humans are a diverse range of individuals and that the best individual for any given task should be allowed to perform it.
I think a lot of feminism focuses on gender to be honest. Even difference feminist. I think a lot of that terfy stuff comes from that. But also all minorities tend to face adversities, and I think a lot of women feel that transwomen minimize their experience through existance? I don’t know. I am not a terf. I can’t really tell you, although I have mulled it over because some very intelligent people have a lot of anger towards transwomen (mostly, I said it before but I think a lot of people don’t even think transmen exist or something).
Adding to the layers, non-binary people break their brains.
I think, as you can see over on the side - it looks like this place is for all folks and is trying to just create a safe space for people to explore and express themselves beyond their sex. Or as their sex. Just however they want. Feminism tends to be centered as a cis-ish woman-centric experience. This supersedes that.
Also if I offended anyone, apologies! Was just my take.

I liked this entire album, but as I rounded to the end and heard Sweet Silence it started to get a bit too noisy for me? Maybe because I am winding down, but I figured I would come back and give you the so and such. I had fun banging my head through the entire thing though. Things were getting a bit too Mr. Bungle-y for me towards the end.

I’ve got a buddy who texts like this. It’s madness, but I love him and texts are short. I didn’t realize the ability to write like this long form. It’s just a style, but it makes it hard as hey for me to actually get my brain to not just error out and quit is all. This isn’t a blog for anyone though, it’s for you so you do you!
VS Codium is great! When I start a project, I always make a notes.txt to gather myself. As for P&P, the only way I have gotten myself to write on it is to get a small enough guy that I can keep it with me in one of my more common sitting spaces. Google is a creep, but Keep is simple. I’ve known a ton of people in the past who get a tape recorder and keep their notes on that. There’s a FOSS voice recorder on F-Droid called Fossify Voice Recorder. I am not sure if that’s what you want however.

I was thinking of this very thing the other day. Because I was thinking about Solar Punk, and the idealism that people will trade one set of talents for another. Yet in my head, I thought - once we started settling lands and owning things (basically transitioning to agrarian lifestyles) we left many of our egalitarian ways behind. I am not saying that communities that share can’t exist. I am just thinking about how security tends to come with a series of costs that many will labor their entire lives over just to have a sliver.
I am too tired to give a deeper read on the summary (I read it but things are flying from my head). I have just had so many conflicting thoughts as of late that I have been trying to move through. I think because often I love the ideal of equitable acts, but I do not understand how they can reasonably be applied en masse without large changes. Which I think is the hope of automation, but the reality tends to be much bleaker because capitalism.
